Dear Truth Seekers,
If you are questioning your religion, you are probably fighting two battles at the same time.
The first battle is in your mind. You keep asking questions, you notice contradictions, and you feel a deep clash between your human conscience and what you were taught. Something inside you tells you that these questions deserve honest answers.
The second battle is in your heart, with fear and guilt. This is the battle that hurts the most.
Many ex-Muslims know this feeling very well. From childhood, we were taught that doubting Islam is a major sin, questioning Muhammad is rebellion, and leaving religion will lead to eternal punishment. Just thinking about these things made us panic.
We asked ourselves the same painful questions every night:
-
"Am I betraying God?"
-
"Am I becoming a bad person?"
-
"What if I am making the biggest mistake of my life?"
You will reach a point where your mind intellectually rejects Islam, but your heart still fears Hell. You may stop believing in Allah, but you still feel a sharp pain of guilt when you miss a prayer.
This does not mean you are weak, and it does not mean you secretly still believe. It simply means that years of childhood conditioning cannot disappear in one day. Give yourself time. Let your emotions slowly catch up with your mind.
Knowledge is Power
There is one piece of advice I wish someone had given me years ago:
Knowledge is Power.
The more you learn about real history, scientific facts, human ethics, and how religious texts were actually written, the less power fear has over you. Every honest answer replaces a little bit of fear with clarity.
Knowledge will set you Free.
Knowledge is the only tool which will finally set you free from all fears and guilt.
A Painful Journey Ahead
We want to be completely honest with you, i.e., this path can be very painful. Almost every long-term ex-Muslim will tell you the same thing.
For me, it was the most difficult journey of my life. I started doubting long before the age of social media. I did not know any other ex-Muslims, and I had almost no access to critical books or information. I had to fight this war inside my head completely alone.
The doubts never went away because I could not ignore the constant conflict between my basic human empathy and religious rules. It took years of loneliness, fear, and sacrifice before I finally reached peace on the other side.
Yet, despite all the pain and everything it cost me, I am deeply glad that I took that first step.
Why?
Because the reward at the end was greater than anything I lost:
A satisfied self.
A quiet, peaceful mind that I had been searching for my entire life.
Why We Created This Website
Sharing knowledge is the exact reason our website exists.
Many of us walked this road completely alone. We had questions, but we had no answers. We had fear, but we had nobody to tell us that fear is not evidence. We had guilt, but we did not know why we were feeling guilty.
We do not want you to walk that journey alone.
This website is a library of knowledge. Here you will find history, science, morality, philosophy, and criticism of Islam from many different angles. Read patiently. Verify every claim. Compare both sides. Follow the evidence wherever it leads.
The goal is simple.
Become the "Satisfied Self".
