According to this Islamic claim, performing the annual Hajj at the Kaaba became a strict religious duty for every single prophet after Abraham, as well as for the entire population of the Children of Israel. Yet, when we dive into the Bible, ancient Jewish and Christian historical texts, and the records of contemporary Roman and Greek historians, we find a massive problem. When Muslim scholars are confronted with this absolute lack of historical evidence, they are left with only one logical escape route, which is to claim that:

• The entire world conspired against Muhammad to erase Mecca and its annual Hajj from every book of Jews, Christians, Romans, Greeks, and from archaeological records. 
• And they also got 100% success.

Islamic Apologists firmly believe in this conspiracy theory that the entire Arab world was a true follower of Abraham and they they practiced the same religion as Abraham, and they came for annual Hajj to Mecca. But then they 100% forget their "Monolithic Allah" and Abraham and Ismael. 

Similarly, Islamic apologists also believe in this conspiracy theory that from Abraham all the way to Jesus, indeed every single prophet and their massive following travelled to Mecca like clockwork every year to perform Hajj at the Kaaba, but the plot twisted when the ruling elite of the Jews, the Christians, and the Roman Empire suddenly realized that a final prophet named Muhammad was destined to appear in Mecca. To prevent this prophecy from gaining legitimacy, the ancient world allegedly united to execute the largest, most flawless historical cover-up ever conceived.

The scale of this supposed global operation is so mind-boggling that it defies human reason.

1. The Magical Editing of the Bible and Manuscripts

According to this narrative, Jewish and Christian scribes across the globe sat down and manually re-edited every single existing copy of the Torah and the Gospels. They carefully cut out every single verse, sentence, or geographical reference that pointed to an Israelite prophet traveling to Mecca or the Kaaba.

While apologists try to explain this away through the standard claim of scriptural corruption, the actual scope of this alleged conspiracy makes that explanation look tiny. These scribes would have also had to track down and alter millions of personal letters, theological commentaries, sectarian documents, and historical manuscripts scattered across different rival denominations worldwide. They supposedly erased every single mention of the Kaaba so perfectly that future generations were left completely oblivious to the fact that their own ancestors were regular pilgrims to Mecca.

The political rulers and state historians of the Roman Empire were supposedly full partners in this massive cover-up. The Romans apparently foresaw that a message of ultimate truth would eventually rise from Mecca, so they responded by placing a ironclad chokehold on their own intellectual community.

The imperial government supposedly intercepted, censored, or burned the original manuscripts of their own leading historians like Pliny, Herodotus, and Ptolemy. They supposedly located and chiseled away every single piece of rock art and inscription throughout the Hejaz, Dadan, Tayma, and Petra that recorded the passage of an Israelite prophet or hinted at early monotheism in Mecca. They did not just wipe out the physical footprint of a Jewish and Christian Hajj. They managed to erase the names of Abraham and Ishmael from the desert landscape so thoroughly that modern archaeology cannot find a single pre-Islamic inscription verifying their presence or their monotheistic deity. This means they successfully carried out a perfect archaeological purge in a foreign territory completely outside the direct political control of the Roman military.

4. The Complete Brainwashing of the Arabs

The absolute weakest link in this entire theory is the massive psychological paradox it creates regarding human memory. We are expected to believe that the local Arabs managed to remember the precise physical mechanics of the Hajj, which includes the Kaaba, animal sacrifice, the Talbiyah chant, the Sa'i running ritual, and the Tawaf circuits. "If our heritage is truly Abrahamic and prophets from all over the world used to flock to this valley, where did all the Jewish and Christian pilgrims go? And why hasn't our soil left behind a single piece of historical evidence to prove it?"

When analyzing this grand conspiracy theory put forward by apologists, one can only shake their head at the sheer desperation of the argument. It requires a person to blindly believe that:

• Countless desert rock inscriptions were perfectly chiseled away.

• The entire global archaeological record was successfully sabotaged.

• The collective memory of the Arab people was magically deleted.

All of this grand orchestration is claimed to have occurred centuries in advance, just to preemptively undermine a single man's claim to prophethood in the seventh-century Hejaz.

When we put aside this incredibly complex, cinematic fiction, the simplest and most rational conclusion is staring us right in the face. The Abrahamic Hajj of Mecca is completely missing from history and archaeology for one very simple reason, which is that it never actually happened.

The historical reality is far more straightforward. The Hajj was originally a local, pre-Islamic pagan festival. When Muhammad launched his religious movement, he chose to reframe this existing ritual within an Abrahamic narrative to give his new faith immediate historical weight and religious legitimacy. This is the only explanation that fits perfectly with secular history, matches physical archaeology, and satisfies basic common sense, completely freeing the human mind from the ridiculous gymnastics of a global conspiracy theory.
