Islamic apologists convinced Dr. Keith to assert that the Quran is accurate, claiming that the fetus resembles a leech at the stage of 'Alaqa (علقة). Consequently, Dr. Keith proclaimed a 23-day-old fetus as the 'Alaqa stage mentioned in the Quran and presented an image in support of this assertion in his book.
However, Muhammad stated that the 'Alaqa stage begins only after 40 days.
Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 6594:
Allah's Messenger said: Each one of you is constituted in the womb of his mother for forty days (i.e. Nutfah Stage), then he becomes a Leech like clot (i.e. ‘Alaqa) for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things …
On the 40th day, a fetus certainly does not resemble a leech. A lie is often exposed by its contradictions, as seen here.
