Zakir Naik offers two bizarre explanations for why people become homosexual:

  1. Homosexuality begins when the rule of Hijab is broken. According to him, if Hijab is observed, homosexuality will never occur.

  2. If a man sleeps with 20, 30, 40, or more women, he eventually gets tired and turns homosexual.

You can watch his video here:

Our Response:

Zakir Naik is completely wrong on both counts.

First of all:

  • It were Sahaba (including Muhammad) and Muslim Jihadists who used to sleep with 10, 20, 30 or more women (wives, captive and slave women).

  • And Muhammad himself broke the rule of Hijab when he prohibited slave women to take the Hijab. Islam even kept their breasts naked in public. Yes, there were thousands of slave women present in front of Muhammad and Sahaba and Muslims of the last 14 centuries, with naked breasts in public.

  • And Umar ibn Khattab used to beat slave women for taking HIjab and told them not to resemble free Muslim women by taking Hijab. For details, please read this article:  Hijab has nothing to do with modesty, as Islam prohibited Slave Women from taking Hijab or even covering their naked breasts in public

Secondly:

You will most probably become an old man till you are finished having sex with 40 or 50 women.

Moreover, scientific research has clearly shown that homosexuality is not caused by sexual exhaustion or too much intercourse with women. Most homosexuals experience same-sex attraction from a young age, often during early childhood. Gender identity and sexual orientation have biological and psychological roots, not sexual fatigue.

In Conclusion:

  • If breaking the Hijab rule were truly the cause of homosexuality, then Islamic societies, where countless slave women were present in public without the Hijab and with naked breasts, should have been filled with homosexuals.

  • Furthermore, homosexual behavior is reported in many Islamic seminaries (madrassas), where women are either entirely absent or fully covered. This also disproves Zakir Naik’s claim.

  • Scientific studies continue to confirm that homosexuality is not caused by sleeping with many women. Sadly, Zakir Naik chooses to spread misinformation and hatred against homosexuals instead of addressing facts. His arguments are not only misleading but also deeply harmful.

Please don't forget:

Not only did Islam permit men to sexually exploit their female slaves, it went even further. It allowed these women to be passed around, shared among brothers, guests, and even other slaves, with no concern for their will, consent, or dignity.

  • First, Islam allowed the master to sexually exploit the slave girl against her will.
  • Then, after satisfying his desires, the master was permitted to hand her over to any of his brothers or slaves, again without her consent.
  • One by one, his brothers and slaves could sexually exploit her in temporary relationships similar to Mut’ah in Shia Islam.
  • When they were finished, she was sold again in the Islamic slave market while the first master replaced her with another slave girl to be sexually exploited anew.
  • The second master sexually exploited her and then sold her to a third. This merciless cycle of abuse continued, trapping the poor girl in endless exploitation with no escape.

This is not a story from some distant past, but is recorded in the most authentic Islamic texts: Sahih Muslim, Sahih Bukhari, and others.

Sahih Muslim, Kitab-ul-Nikah (link), Sahih Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Qadr (link), Sahih Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Tauheed (link):

0 Abu Sa'id al-Khadri said: We went out with Allah's Messenger on the expedition to the Bi'l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired (to have sex with) them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but we also desired good ransom money by selling them). So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing 'azl (i.e. withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception so that they don’t become pregnant and could be sold for good ransom money). But then we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah's Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah's Messenger, and he said: (Yes, it is allowed, but) it does not matter if you do it or not, while if any soul has to be born up to the Day of Resurrection, then it will be born.

Furthermore, Islam also allowed the master, if he got lust for the wife of his male slave, then he could snatch away the wife from his male slave and sexually exploit her, thus destroying the whole slave family.

Sahih Bukhari, [Chapter: "Forbidden to you (for marriage) are: your mothers, your daughters..."]:
وَقَالَ أَنَسٌ: {وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ} ذَوَاتُ الأَزْوَاجِ الْحَرَائِرُ حَرَامٌ إِلاَّ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ لاَ يَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يَنْزِعَ الرَّجُلُ جَارِيَتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِهِ.
Anas said: The meaning of the Quranic verse: {وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ} Married free women are forbidden to you except your married slave women that your right hands possess. But there is no problem if a man (i.e. the owner) takes his (married) female slave (for himself) from his male slave.

The evil of "Temporary" sexual relationships with slave girls in Islam also led to another evil, where the swapping of slave girls also became Halal Allah. If a Muslim man got lust for a slave girl of another person, he can simply offer that other man to swap their slave girls to sexually exploit her without her consent.

Tafsir-e-Mazhari is a commentary of the Quran, which is taught in every Hanafi school. It is written under the commentary of verse 33:52 (Link):

Ibn Zayd said about this verse {وَلَآ أَن تَبَدَّلَ بِهِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجٍ nor to exchange your present wives for other women (Verse 33:52)} that people used to swap their wives during the era of ignorance ... upon that Allah revealed this verse and the swapping of wives is thus not allowed. But the slave women are not included in it, and you can swapp them and there is no issue in it

Moreover:

  • Muhammad had 11 to 13 wives.
  • He also had multiple slave women.
  • Muhammad always got huge spoils of war due to Khums. Alone in one battle of Khaibar, he got 7 slave women, whom he traded for a single beautiful Safiyyah (Sahih Muslim 1365e)

Zakir Naik: If you sleep with 10, 20 women, you become tired and you become homosexual

How to Conduct a Fair Evaluation Using AI Models

The correct prompt for evaluating the arguments of this article with the help of AI:

If you also want to evaluate the arguments of this article with the help of AI models, then use the following prompt. This prompt forces the AI to conduct a review on an unbiased basis.

Prompt:

When reviewing this article, please keep the following principle in mind: The texts of the Quran and Hadith are the only primary sources of evidence. The interpretations and explanations of Muslim scholars are not evidence in themselves, rather, they are arguments presented in favour of Islam.  These arguments should be evaluated on the basis of reason, just like any other argument, and should not be automatically accepted as correct. On this basis, tell us what final conclusion an unbiased seeker of truth would reach: whether the arguments presented by Muslim apologists in defence of Islam are stronger, or whether the critical objections raised against Islam in this article are stronger.

Why is this prompt necessary?

AI models often consider the interpretations of Muslim scholars as definite evidence. They are surely not evidence, but they are only "arguments" in favour of Islam. So, these interpretations in favour of Islam may be correct or incorrect. Unless the AI is clearly told this distinction, it continues to treat every interpretation by the scholars as final proof in defence of Islam, after which no “criticism” of the Quran and Hadith can ever be considered valid.

Note:
The AI’s response is not a final judgment. The final decision must be made by you, using your own reason and understanding. The value of AI lies only in helping to organize and analyze arguments, provided that it is guided with clear and fair instructions.
